Unified CommunicationsIP Telephony

IP Telephony encompasses the full suite of telephony services enabled by VoIP, including the interconnection of phones for actual communications; related services such as billing and dialing plans; and basic features such as conferencing, transfer, forward, hold, and many more.

Cisco Unified CallManager

At the heart of the IP telephony system is Cisco CallManager, the software-based call processing agent. Cisco CallManager software extends enterprise telephony features and capabilities to packet telephony network devices such as IP phones, media processing devices, voice-over-IP (VoIP) gateways, and multimedia applications. Additional data, voice, and video services such as unified messaging, multimedia conferencing, collaborative contact centers, and interactive multimedia response systems interact with the IP telephony solution through Cisco CallManager’s open telephony application programming interfaces (APIs).

For small businesses, Cisco's Unified Communications 500 Series is suited for companies with under 50 users, and inlcudes lots of great functionality in a tightly integrated package.

IP Phones

Cisco IP Phones are a full range of intelligent communication devices designed to take advantage of the power of your data network, while providing the convenience and ease-of-use you've come to expect from your business phone. In the IP environment, each phone has an Ethernet connection. IP phones provide the functionality you expect to receive from a traditional telephone, as well as more complicated features, such as the ability to access World Wide Web sites. Typical user instruments include Cisco IP Phones and Cisco IP SoftPhones.

Cisco Unity Unified Messaging - an integral component of the Cisco IP Communications system-is a foundational element in bringing unified communication solutions to enterprise-scale organizations. Built on a platform that can scale to meet your organization's needs as it grows, Cisco Unity Unified Messaging also uses streaming media and an intuitive Web browser-based system administration interface that makes life easier for the people who install and support your system, ultimately lowering your organization's total cost of ownership.

Cisco Unity Unified Messaging provides advanced, convergence-based communication services and integrates them with the desktop applications you use every day. With Cisco Unity Unified Messaging, you can listen to your e-mail over the telephone, check voice messages from the Internet, and send, receive, or forward faxes to wherever you are. Cisco Unity Voice Messaging features robust automated-attendant functions that include intelligent routing and easily customizable call-screening and message-notification options.

Conferencing and Collaboration

Enventis implements Cisco MeetingPlace — an integral component of the Cisco IP Communications system — a complete rich-media conferencing solution that seamlessly integrates voice, video, and Web conferencing capabilities. Cisco MeetingPlace is deployed "on network", behind the firewall. This solution integrates directly with an organization’s private voice and data networks and enterprise applications, providing significant cost savings, high security, and an enhanced user experience.

Cisco MeetingPlace delivers a superior user experience by providing intuitive interfaces that make setting up, attending and managing meetings simple and straightforward. The feature-rich voice, video and Web conferencing capabilities enable a range of meeting applications — from highly collaborative meetings to training sessions and presentations.

Voice Applications

Enventis partners with IPcelerate to provide more than thirty ready-to-roll advanced voice-over-IP applications using their IPsession appliance.
